Fourteen of us, ranging in age from 8 months to 85 years old, spent five fun days here. The place was gorgeous, huge, and stocked with everything we needed. We used all seven bedrooms, and there were still five beds left available. As temperatures hit the 100s, the pool became the central theme of our stay. It was clear and beautiful and felt amazing for everyone. There were some pool toys already there, and we packed a bunch of water guns and floats. We were entertained playing basketball in the pool with the provided hoops. The 25 to 35-year-old crew enjoyed playing ping-pong and billiards in the lower recreation room and appreciated having the kitchen downstairs available for late-night snacks. McHenry was nice; Costco and Meijer are nearby, and we did fun activities in the area, including axe throwing and an escape room. Logistically, the property manager was responsive, often within minutes, when I reached out, which felt reassuring.

The house was located in a peaceful lot where it truly felt you were worlds away from the hustle of everything. Host was super responsive and always helpful. We enjoyed how massive the home was to be able to spread out. The Christmas tree was a nice touch and the steam shower was very relaxing. The lower level with games was a hit and we enjoyed our time there. The property was great overall but could use some updates as there was wear and tear evident throughout the home. We had a phenomenal time while staying at this beautiful home. The neighborhood is beautiful and very peaceful. Pulling up the long driveway to the home is breathtaking. We had so many rooms and beds to choose from. The recreation room on the lower level was a great addition to keep our children busy for hours on end. The host was even nice enough to leave the pool open for an extra week to accommodate us. We truly appreciate the hospitality, super fast responses, and the flexibility on a few important things to us. We had a small event here and the host was responsive, accommodating, and transparent about costs. They even helped us find a time to tour the space. Everyone commented on how beautiful the home was and was the perfect venue for an intimate gathering.

We had a great time here for our wedding with family and friends. Two nights and we got to enjoy the hot tub, pool, and games downstairs. Great for 10 people who stayed here, you didn't feel like the house was tight at all, very big and spacious. We loved the master bath and the private entrance from pool to the bedroom pool suite for our friends. loved the downstairs kitchen for a makeshift bar. Our high school reunion group of friends from all over the U.S. and abroad enjoyed their 47th anniversary at this huge ranch property. Thank you for accomodating 25 guests at the property for the 3 day weekend celebration. Communication before and during the event was always prompt. We appreciate your flexibility in an early check in time. The home was clean and had everything we needed, including extra linen & towels, even coffee and cream. We cooked all our meals. The kitchen was well equipped and stocked with plenty of dishes, utensils, glasses, etc. Glad to have found this property for our event.

Huge property with amazing basement and pool. Comfortably slept 14 (almost everyone had their own bed) and close to great golf courses plus Kief’s Reef Bar and McHenry. Would highly recommend.

Despite a shaky start, this property worked out great for our big family reunion. Book a Memory was very responsive to a couple issues when we checked in, and the space was large enough to serve the 30 people who came to the house in the country both days of the weekend. We had beautiful weather the first weekend in August, so the pool was the biggest attraction with plenty of toys and seating for all. Thanks, Book a Memory!

We had a group of business associates gather for our Spring meeting. There was plenty of room on the lower level to set up our rented conference table , projector and screen from Ed's Rental). The kitchen was amazing and we were able to prepare all of our meals on site. The second kitchen downstairs cane in handy for extra oven and refrigerator space. The grill was fantastic as we prepared steaks one night. There were several separate gathering areas with couches and comfy chairs for us to be able to hold multiple simultaneous break-out sessions. The sleeping arrangements were ideal with plenty of space in the house so those that chose to stay up later didn't bother those who chose to turn in early. We will certainly stay here again the next time we hold a meeting in tjis part of the country.

Hello, I was looking for a place for my family and I to enjoy a special birthday dinner and enjoy a quick getaway for the weekend. I’ve had some disappointments on past Airbnb stays, so I was a little concerned about the house and how nice it look in the pictures. Sometimes it’s not what you see once you arrive at your booking. I read the reviews and I reached out to the host to confirm everything the reviews said about the house were true. When I arrived, the home is as beautiful as it looks in the pictures. My family and I was very impressed with everything! The hosts and everyone involved were very nice and friendly. Any questions, concerns or issues were addressed immediately. The surroundings, and the view outside is beautiful and peaceful. The privacy is great! I will be back again. I had to give a review… highly recommend this stay. Great place to stay

We celebrated my husband’s 50th birthday with a surprise Murder Mystery Dinner Party. We had 18 guests and then another 20 came by for the dinner party. The lower level allowed us to set up (4) round tables so we could all sit together. We brought in a caterer and bartender. The space was so perfect for what we needed. There were more extra towels and sheets in every closet. This house accommodates a large party very easily. We would love to come back in the summer and enjoy the pool! John was so terrific to work with. The house is so amazing!!

The owner was very responsive, willing to accommodate. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back to use pool in warm weather.

This home was perfect for a large family stay for the holiday's! The owner put up a Christmas Tree with lights and the fireplace in the grand room off the kitchen made for great memories.

This was the best air bnb experience we ever had as a family. I wanted to get the family all together under one roof for our wedding. Everyone was entertained from ages 2 to 65 LOL very good experience and great hosts. They made everything so easy and smooth. We are from California so it would have been great to use the beautiful back yard and pool. Definitely gonna look into this same property next time we are in IL THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH AGAIN

The family came together to spend quality time. The place was great, but the only down fall was all the mattresses was very uncomfortable. This was the experience of all my guest. Maybe all the beds can use mattress tops. Besides that the place and host was great.

We rented the house to host our wedding reception at and it was incredible! The house is beautiful- we took pictures at the home and even our photographer couldn’t get over how pretty it was both inside and out. The pool and hot tub were amazing, as was the fire pit and there was plenty of room for all our guests to stay, park, and hang out. The surrounding area is beautiful and private - we got to see horses and a donkey from the neighboring farms and even saw turkeys. The best part of it all is how wonderful the hosts were. When we shared we wanted to have a wedding the were incredibly flexible, supportive, and helpful. They let us tour the house before booking, reached out proactively with details & were quick to respond to questions. They even came over and planted new flowers and mowed the lawn because they wanted to make sure it looked perfect for our pictures. I can’t say enough good things - book this home!!

We had 10 adults and 6 kids in our group and we had plenty of space. Made great memories at the home, pool, hot tub, firepit, yard. Kids enjoyed riding their bikes in the long driveway. A flock of 5 guinea hens frequented the yard and the kids loved seeing them. On our walks down the street, we saw many horses, donkeys, and local produce stands that we purchased some veggies and firewood from. Plenty of places outside to take beautiful group photos. Highly recommend this home for a group!

The host was amazing he was always answered quickly. The location is absolutely beautiful. The house was perfect and the yard was peaceful. The pool was fun and perfect size. There were two kitchen set ups so there was plenty room In fridge to keep food. The house is absolutely beautiful there are many bathrooms which made it super easy for guests. They provided shampoo and conditioner in showers which was very nice. The yard was beautiful and there was many great picture spots outside. Downstairs had a bunch of fun things to do for guests including pool and foose ball. Many couches to sit and relax on throughout home. Full bar area downstairs. Cons: The hot tub had a scum layer around it and needed to be drained and cleaned regularly. Not one of my guests wanted to use it. There are 6 bird nests right at front of pool and bird poop everywhere by pool steps. Owners were responsive and cleaned it right away but it came back so fast.

We had a wonderful time celebrating an anniversary with 13 family members. The home and property were lovely. Ample space for all to enjoy time together. The pool, hot tub and lower level were particularly fun for the younger adults. John was terrific and very attentive to any needs we had.

I was trying to book another location from Dean, but it was no longer available. He suggested this location and it worked out perfectly for a family reunion. There were enough common areas that you could have multiple conversations/activities and the pool and basement rec area kept the kids busy. There was room in the lawn to play games. It was also beautiful outside and we took several family portraits in the great setting. Everyone was impressed with the house. Dean and team are fantastic and very responsive. This spacious home with good size outdoor pool and back yard, was a great gathering spot for my family. The cleaning staff were completing their service as I arrived and they were so helpful and gracious.

The house was great and felt really remote. The kids loved seeing the horses come right to the fence to say hi. John was AMAZING and very responsive when we needed anything. Long days at the pool tired all the kids (and adults) out and the fire pit was perfect in the evening.

The house was dirty, furniture chipped and in poor condition, yard was not mowed, weeds everywhere, pile of brick/stones against fence, inside tile chipped, carpets stained, bed linens dirty and poor quality, one of bedrooms had dangerous pool equipment in closet, to get to same bedroom you had to walk thru filthy utility room, furniture stained, standing water on outside drains. We called Don when we got there and Randy came to the house. Don was out of the country.He was disrespectful and condescending. The house was rented for four days and the cost was 12,000 dollars. The price is absolutely ridiculous for the quality of this house.

Our extended family of 24 wanted to celebrate Grandma and Grandpa’s 50th wedding anniversary, and, as all the children and grandchildren live in different places across the country, we needed a large, centrally located space where we could gather and just enjoy our time together. Dean’s house met our needs perfectly with enough beds and bathrooms, recreation, entertainment and dining space for everyone to relax, be comfortable and be together. The layout of the house itself worked very well. The children and young people never got bored. We had room to spread out while still sharing time and memories. Dean was very responsive, accommodating, hospitable and helpful. We would definitely return if opportunity permits.

We spent the weekend here with extended family, and it was the perfect gathering spot. There are multiple sitting spaces and a full basement with plenty of sleeping areas and recreation for the kids & teens in our group. It was too cold to use the swimming pool, but we’d love to come back in the summer because the set up is just perfect. We’ll definitely stay again!

We booked this property for a family wedding. This house is lovely and huge with awesome natural lighting. It was clean and with great amenities. The property is lovely and the house enormous. It was clean and comfortable with ample appointments in the kitchens and a spa that seats 10. Parking is easy and the area is beautiful with well kept homes and ranches. We didnt get to enjoy the pool or outdoor fire pit as the weather was inclement but both looked inviting. Suffice it to say, Dean was the most amazing host we have ever encountered and he will ensure that your stay is amazing!

This is a well kept property with great amenities. The gathering spaces and beds are very comfortable. It’s a great place for a group to gather and work or play. The neighbors are very nice and even have little produce stands for fresh eggs and in season veggies. Dean and team answered all our questions promptly and thoroughly. Definitely a spot to return to as need arises.

Booked our stay at Deans for a wedding we were attending IL. The house was sparking clean, spacious, airy and over all very well kept, just like the photos. We even reached out to Dean a few days prior asking if we could get an insta-cart order delivered and put away upon arrival (The order was rather larger, as we wanted to utilize the all the amenities) Dean and his team worked with us to make sure someone would be there to put groceries away for us. Great communication from start to finish. Would recommended staying and would love to come back!!!

Our stay couldn't have been better. What an amazing facility! Our hosts were super accomodating for all our needs. Our kids and grandkids couldn't get enough of it, and our two days stay was never boring. The pool was awesome and the indoor hot tub was the icing on the cake. Plenty of grounds for an amazing bbq and exciting soccer games. WE LOVED IT! THANKS SO MUCH! Bottom Line - We stayed in plenty of Airbnbs, but never anything like this. 5 Stars Plus!

Dean was an incredible host and resource. My family rented this property to serve a few wedding ceremonies and Dean has been very accommodating for each and every request I had. He even had someone come over within an hour when we had an issue with stand still water at one of the drains. You don’t find hosts like dean too often. His knowledge of the house itself was down to a tee.
