Lakeview Manor of Chicagoland

We wanted to have a relaxing, family vacation in a high-end property, with the amenities to afford us a self-contained fun time. That way we could just enjoy each other's company. We were 4 families, 20 individuals, spanning 3 generations, from the ages of 71 down to 2 years of age. Lakeview Manor is beautiful, with ample, comfortable sleeping areas for everyone. The grounds are beautiful and spacious; the pool and jacuzzi are very enjoyable. It afforded us what we were looking for. We enjoyed our stay there immensely. Most importantly, we had the opportunity to bond as a family without any outside distractions. The Book-A-Memory team of Dean and Randy handled any questions or concerns instantly, professionally and effectively. Thank you for a memorable vacation. We highly recommend this property.

We spent 7 days in this property in August 2025. The house and pool and yard were great. This could easily be 5 stars but it needs some TLC. Windows were very dirty, one dishwasher was not functioning properly, the pool had a water leak and was not properly cleaned. The astroturf around the pool is disgusting and dangerous (pulling up in some areas and an accident waiting to happen). This house has many can lights but the cans are filled with different intensity LED bulbs….some soft light and some bright white (I prefer soft LED lighting). It would not take much effort to get this house into A1 shape and if so, it’s awesome! I hope these issues are addressed as we would like to be return guests.

Absolute Beauty! Great place and lots of space to host a big group of family and friends. Found this place last minute after location change. All the kids were entertained all day and had their own space and beds. Adults had their time after bedtime. Did the fire pit & night swim with a night cap after on the top balcony… the scenery was breathtaking, quiet and peaceful. I wouldn’t have wanted to spend my 33rd birthday anywhere else! Great hosts. They are very helpful and responsive! We are already planning our next getaway at this location. Thank you for the memories 💕✨

I chose this lovely Mansion as it would be the perfect place to celebrate with friends and family for my daughter's graduation from OBGYN residency program. It was the perfect place as it met all our needs in terms of privacy, comfort, enormous space, party-vibe with two pools and Jacuzzi's, two kitchens and downstair luxury entertainment. If you have a large group to host, then I highly recommend this Home in Morris. 5/5 Stars from my friends and family.

This is a very beautiful property and house . We experienced some hot water issues, and the host was very respectful and responsive to getting a mechanic out in short time and got everything working again ! Thanks for everything! Beautiful pool ‘!

This house is perfect for large groups: gorgeous and spacious. Very clean! The pool and hot tub were a hit with the teenagers. The basement had a lot of activities once they were done with the pool. The property is very private which is a huge plus. There is plenty of space for yard games. I will definitely come back here with other groups.

Our stay in the home was absolutely wonderful. We had an amazing time, and our friends and family were thoroughly impressed. The host was very accommodating and responded promptly. The movie theater was incredible, and there was plenty to do throughout the home. The kitchen was well-equipped, the rooms were comfortable, and everything was clean and well-maintained! I would highly recommend this home to any friend group or family looking for a great stay.

Pros Great stay! What a great view of the water and also the property itself was very spacious. Cons Maybe not a con for most but please be aware that there is a 7 guest maximum that is included in the rate. You will be charged $30 per guest for anyone that is visiting the property (even if they are not staying the night!)

The venue was simply beautiful, my guest were so impressed. We plan to book again this summer.

Communication was superb. We ran into a few WiFi issues and a thermostat concern, however, Randy and Trisha took care of everything and the family is truly satisfied. Beautiful home and grounds.

Absolutely beautiful house!! A breath taking view from the front and back of the house. The stairway was absolutely stunning. So many things to do such as using the hot tub and games they had downstairs. Rooms were cleaned and spacious. The house did have minor issues such as the sink being dirty when we arrived and the down stairs kitchen dishes. We were grabbing plates and noticed food on them. Some of the spoons in the drawer had food on them as well. Electrical issues. The movie theater was a bit hard to navigate. When you would turn off the lights, the projector would shut off. Overall, we enjoyed our stayed.

We booked last minute for a long weekend getaway to visit family after there was an issue with another property we initially booked. The host was very friendly and accommodating. The property is beautiful and spacious. It included everything needed to host our family gathering. My son was even able to practice on the baby grand piano located in the foyer. Overall the property met all of our needs and beyond. Highly recommend and we plan to utilize for future reservations.

Stayed here for two nights with my family. The house and property is even better than the pictures and the hosts are super nice and responsive. I have zero complaints and would totally book this place again. Perfect for family gatherings such as weddings, reunions, or just a fun getaway!

What a property. It worked great for our large group over 20 people for a long weekend away to share in fun in just one location. We barely left the property since everything we needed was there. It was a perfect location for what we needed!

Everything was breathtaking. We were able to comfortably host 50 people for a baby shower. The owners were communicative, very nice, and gave lots of recommendations for catering, tables and chair rentals, etc. The home had enough activities to keep everyone occupied. Kid friendly and adult friendly. One thing i loved was the ample fridge and freezer space for the event food. Would definitely book here again

Great house with Great hosts! House has everything you need! Lots of space to spread out, pool was wonderful. Any questions we had the host was right on it very quick to respond. We had a couple tiny things that needed attention and the host had someone out within minutes to help us. House is perfect for larger groups basement has a lot of activities table tennis, air hockey, pool table and one the best old school arcade games Golden Tee! They provide plenty of pool towels and bath towels so you don’t need to bring any. Wifi could be better however you do have 5G at this location so that helps a lot. I was able to do remote work without any problems. The town of Morris is 5 minutes away and let me tell you they have really fixed up the downtown area!! Many stores for your shopping group antique shops to coffee shops just about every type of store. Good restaurants from chains to mom and pops nearby. Walmart, Jewel grocery stores and liquor store within 15 minutes. Enjoy this home!

We wanted to escape the city with our 3 children and this location was perfect. Beds were very comfortable, linens were fresh, plenty of fun to be had for the kids in the lower level game room/theater. The highlight was relaxing by the pool, which is absolutely beautiful! Thanks so much!

This house is everything it says it is and more my husband and I went with seven kids and never once heard I’m bored there’s nothing to do which is a huge success for our kids who very from 11 to 20 we would definitely go back!

Wow! Just WOW! This place was a dream stay for our family. My 3 boys were in awe and couldn’t stop gushing about every last detail. The not one, but TWO pools were a big highlight. The whole property had such a peaceful ambiance. The kitchen was well stocked and they really thought of everything. We only came with our family of 5 and it was so expansive that we often got lost in the halls :) It would be perfect for big groups. It was immaculately clean and the beds and linens were so comfortable. My kids loved the dual waffle makers for breakfast and the game room in the basement was amazing! The hosts were extremely communicative throughout the entire stay and were very accommodating. Thanks for giving us beautiful memories on this idyllic manor. This was a great escape after a busy couple days in Chicago. I took videos of the waterfall because it was just so peaceful and calming. We highly recommend any property Book a Memory has listed. You won’t be disappointed! Thanks again!

The property is perfect for family get togethers, wedding, corporate events and a special getaway with a partner. The property owner is extremely responsive, accommodating and helpful. You can tell they really care about the experience of the person staying at their place. The home exceeds the description, the amenities especially exceed what you will expect. They have everything you need there and many things you didn’t know you needed till you get there! Especially clean, felt welcome there and they made it a painless process. Highly recommend staying at this property - and any property managed by this host.

The stay was amazing!

It was a great stay, everything was provided, kitchen is equipped with spices and plastic wraps, bathroom had soaps and shampoos; Although, the outlets were sparse in the bedrooms and nonfunctional in the kitchen- we couldn’t use the waffle maker.

Our family gets together every year around the same time to celebrate my oldest sister‘s birthday. We had 20 ladies that shared in these memories. Book A memories made sure that we had everything that we needed and we had a little issue with the thermostat. They immediately called us and set it up so that we can correct the problem. The Morris house is simply beautiful. We can’t ask for nothing more beautiful than this home it is was just spectacular. We had an great time together. Because this happens every year. I will be sticking with book of memories next year for another stay. I don’t know how we will be able to beat this years house. Those guys made me feel like family. We had 20 ladies we had enough room for everyone. I loved the double ovens and gas fire places almost in every room. You cannot go wrong at this location.The management team is fantastic. My family and I needed a last minute getaway and this gem was just in our backyard! Great location and wonderful views. Just what we needed to unwind and interconnect with our family. Host was extremely helpful and welcoming!

Great house for a weekend away. More than enough room for our 15 person trip. We had an issue with the Wifi and they had someone out to fix the issue right away. Very well managed and just a beautiful home.

Truly an amazing time, couldn’t ask for anything more! The pictures do not do this place justice. You have to stay to truly experience the joy! Almost cried having to leave this beautiful property. While we were there we were thinking of other dates to book and host holiday gatherings for our family! We were able to successfully host my fiancé’s 30th surprise birthday party and everyone had a blast and keeps asking when the next party will be. This home had everything we needed for the party we had and more! The host was super nice and quick to respond, very accommodating! Couldn’t have wished for a better experience, everything was exactly how I had envisioned it would be! Can’t wait to book this same property or even try some of their other properties too!

I have to say, this airbnb experience for me was the best & my favorite so far. The experience from beginning to end couldn’t have been better. The hosts were extremely helpful & understanding! Response time, help with booking now & for future, instructions, & grace that was given exceeded my expectations. So before seeing & experiencing the listing in person, i was already giving the hosts 5 stars. Then to experience the beautiful location & everything it had to offer, it honestly was BEYOND what the pictures could justify; it was everything plus more! The space, the amenities, the cleanliness, everything for our use & enjoyment. Our Kingsmen volleyball team had the perfect place to unwind after some grueling matches. We had a theatre to use to scout our opponents and a jacuzzi to help the soreness go away. The guys were able to spread out and get their studies done while being on the road... I even found out I have a few guys that can play the piano! With trips every year to the area, we hope to continue the partnership and be back in 2025! The place was perfect! (other, doesn't work above in the field choice)

This was an amazing stay. The house is spectacular. Plenty of room, lots of available activities. Loved the hot tub. Responsive host. Definitely coming back!

Nice place to enjoy a get together with the family. We got there 30 min early but the code of the house was set to work only at the time the check in was . The house is nice and clean. The team is very responsive with any questions you have. We saw a problem with one of the ac units and let them know and they sent someone to look at it in a couple hours. I would definitely stay there again!

Amazing house with heated pool, jacuzzi and with a breathtaking view. Multiple activities and a theater with 10 seats. Perfect for a group of 12-16 people. Owner very friendly. Definitely will book it again!
